How is Kazakhstan’s economy developing amid high birth rates and growing poverty?
 
The poverty rate in 2018 was 4.3%. Moreover, about a third of the country's poor population lives in the Turkestan region. On top of that, COVID-19 has left millions of people unemployed, which is already affecting the income and the mood of society.
