The Population Situation Analysis (PSA) of the Turkestan Region of Kazakhstan was developed to provide a sound basis for evidence-based policy dialogue and help integrate core population dynamics issues into policies and plan of the region. The evidence is generated around key thematic pillars of population and development to inform integration of key population dynamics issues in national and regional development priorities to harness the demographic dividend and help realize the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The report was developed in collaboration with experts from the Lomonosov Moscow State University Vladimir Arkhangelsky and Valery Yelizarov and expert from the Institute of Demography of research institute of the Highest School of Economics Mikhail Denissenko.
