Gender analysis is a tool that is used to identify and address the different needs, opportunities and survival strategies of women and men before, during and after emergencies
or crisis situations.

This Rapid Gender Assessment for the COVID-19 situation in the Republic of Kazakhstan was prepared by the Center for Social and Political Studies "Strategy" for UN Women and UNFPA. It provides important information on gender roles and responsibilities, opportunities, and vulnerabilities that have emerged in the society in light of the COVID-19 outbreak.
