Summing up the results of the first year of UNFPA work in Aktobe oblast

May 30, 2018. Representative of the United Nations Population Fund in Kazakhstan, Giulia Vallese, met with Akim of the Aktobe region, Berdybek Saparbayev.
During the meeting the parties summed up the results of the first year of work within Memorandum of Understanding between UNFPA and the Akimat of the Region in the field of health care for pregnant women and reproductive health of adolescents and youth.
During this period, the trainings conducted by international experts covered medical workers of obstetrical institutions of the region.
In addition, 55 specialists in primary health care received antenatal fetal education.
For 15 colleges, educators have been trained to teach on reproductive health issues. A little more than 1500 students of these colleges are already enrolled in training.
For the youth center for the protection of reproductive health, two doctors (a psychologist and a teenage gynecologist) were trained in Estonia.
